DR. TERRY J. MAH

Dr. Terry Mah is a Founding Partner at Thales Water Advisors.  Dr. Terry Mah is an innovative performance-oriented leader and manager with 20+ years of international experience and a proven record of business development, profitable growth, technology development & commercialization, efficiency improvement, integration, change management and transformation that has relied on the ability to develop and lead effective operational strategies and teams across a diverse and challenging background of

highly specialized activities and geographies.

 

Terry spent 19 years with Veolia where he held numerous executive positions, including serving as a member of Veolia’s Management Committee, Chief Executive Officer of Veolia North America, and Chief Operating Officer of Veolia’s Global Water Technologies group where he managed and grew businesses

ranging in size from $500,000 to >$2 billion in revenue.

 

After leaving Veolia, Terry founded The Malabar Group that provides strategic and M&A consulting services, and co-founded TerraFin Partners that develops projects at the intersection of sustainability and food

security.  Terry also serves as an advisor and board member to several tech companies, innovation

accelerators and water "not-for-profit" organizations.  Dr. Mah studied at the University of British

Columbia where he earned a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in microbiology, and

received his Ph.D. in environmental engineering.
