DR. TERRY J. MAH

Dr. Terry J. Mah is a Founding Partner at Thales Water Advisors. He is a performance-driven executive with over 30 years of international experience leading business development, technology commercialization, and operational transformation across complex and highly specialized markets.

​

Dr. Mah spent 19 years at Veolia, where he held multiple senior leadership roles, including member of the Global Executive Committee, Chief Executive Officer of Veolia North America, and Chief Operating Officer of the global Water Technologies group.  In these roles, he led and scaled businesses ranging from $500,000 to over $2 billion in revenue.

Following his tenure at Veolia, Dr. Mah founded The Malabar Group, a firm focused on strategic advisory and M&A consulting.  He also serves as an advisor and board member to several technology companies, innovation accelerators, and nonprofit organizations in the water and energy sectors.

Dr. Mah holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Microbiology from the University of British Columbia, as well as a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering.
